T. shows Ss the pictures about natural disasters to teach new words:
earthquake, typhoon, tidal wave, volcano, and tornado, collapse, erupt, baby carriage, funnel, Pacific Rim.
WHILE-READING

TASK 1: In groups of four, Ss read the text silently and look at the pictures, trying to find out the content of the text and then answer some questions
T corrects them.
TASK 2: Ss work in pairs, read the text again & do the exercise on page 79 (True / False)
Ss give their answers in front of the class.
T. corrects their answers and explains some difficult meanings.
